Ativan (lorazepam): I have panic disorder and generalized anxiety. I take 1 to 2 mg sublingually when fighting anxiety or at the onset of a panic attack. I'm glad that 1mg is strong enough to prevent an attack, and that it doesn't dope me up - just calms me down and eases the physical issues.

I take Ativan at night. It calms me down, relaxes me and helps me sleep better!.

I have no side effects just a calm, peaceful feeling. After my losing my first child, I soon started having these feelings like I was having a heart attack, chest pains, hand cramps, and could not breath.
