Over the past decades new drugs for epilepsy have become available which allow many people with epilepsy to live virtually seizure free lives. However, as each individual drug is likely to be most effective in controlling only certain types of epilepsy, the accurate identification of the type of epilepsy is important for the correct choice of drug. In most cases epilepsy is treated with medication.

Other treatment options such as surgery or Vagal Nerve Stimulator (VNS) may be considered depending on the type of epilepsy and the ability to achieve seizure freedom with medication.

Natural Treatment for Epilepsy - Earth Clinic

Complementary and alternative treatment for epilepsy and seizure disorders (e.g. herbal medications, ketogenic diet) can reduce triggers for epileptic seizure.

I know a couple of people for whom that has been a great help. I hope the c-pap machine helps. Let us know how that goes.

Natural cures are the KEY!!!. It worked. Knock on wood! Please try it and get off the drugs today. I HAVE NOT HAD A SEIZURE IN THREE YEARS. So instead I just started using 4 Tablespoons of coconut oil every day. Although I had success. I read about a Ketogenic diet that was helping children with seizures control them! I tried it for a while but it was too difficult.

Again, not sure if this can help a child or possibly an adult with seizures, but I am just putting this story out there not as medical advise, but as something that has worked for someone in the past.

Can he also take the coconut oil? Because am considering asking the doctor to take him off the drug since it is affecting his composure.
