Acute pancreatitis has been associated with lisinopril. Taste disturbances and constipation are reported in less than 1% of patients. Gastrointestinal side effects have included diarrhea (4%), nausea (3%), and vomiting (1%).

It is recommended that any patient with dyspnea, dysphagia, or significant facial angioedema stop therapy immediay and avoid ACE inhibitor therapy in general. Obstructive laryngeal and glossal angioedema due to lisinopril is a rare, but potentially fatal reaction. Angioedema of the face, extremities, lips, tongue, glottis and/or pharynx have been reported rarely in patients receiving ACE inhibitors.

Call your doctor if you have any unusual problems while taking this medication. Lisinopril may cause other side effects.

Store it at room temperature and away from excess heat and moisture (not in the bathroom). Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children. Throw away any medication that is outdated or no longer needed.
